This beautiful hand painted bowl representing a Zen Garden, is crafted with layers of blown glass after being kiln dried overnight. 
This is a difficult technique, where the cold glass is hand painted and then blown into shape, and additional layers of glass is added to achieve the final piece.

Keith is an award-winning glassblowing artist who works from his studio in Whangarei. Keith is particularly interested in the shard pick-up technique where he rolls molten glass onto shards of glass and wires forming spontaneous patterns, lines and surface design.
Keith taught at the Quay School of Arts, UCOL, Whanganui where he completed a BFA.
